The Royal Oak has sat proudly at the heart of the small village of Ramsden in Oxfordshire as a public house, inn and restaurant for almost 250 years.

Since the late 80’s, the previous owners built a reputation for excellent food and wine, long before the term ‘gastro-pub’ was even invented.

With the previous owners moving on, the new team has given The Royal Oak a new lease of life. A stunning new eating area ‘The Barn’, as well as a new bar, garden, private dining rooms and bedrooms, have breathed exciting new life into the beautiful Grade II listed building, whilst retaining its essence as a traditional, local, village pub.

With the appointment of an excellent Head Chef Rob Marshall, and under the helm of Manager Luke Howell and Assistant Management team, the pub will continue to focus on excellent pub food, fine wine and ale.

Events planned later in the year, including music nights, supper clubs, literary events and Bingo will restore the pub’s place as the beating heart of this wonderful local community.

The fully restored and refurbished inn will ensure the Oak’s warm welcome for many years to come.
